Muinasjutu printsess/Fairy tale princess

Just selline ta on.

The Princess doll was inspired by my five-year old daughter. She is completely fond of everything pink, as well as she is crazy about pearls and lace and butterflies and angels and so on... Almost three years ago I created the famous Ballerina-mouse, which was also inspired of her. Now she did it again!
As this was the first princess, there will be small adaptions with the next ones. But these are just tiny things.
The doll also has special handpainted eyes, made by another Estonian amigurumi artist Laura. You will find more of her work here. I really loved her idea of the eyes with reflection spots and they fitted my whole conception of the princess so perfectly!

Heegeldatud Sokiahv/Crochet Sock monkey

Siin on eritellimus ühelt tuttavalt - ahvipärdik filmist "Mister Magorium`s Wonder Emporium" (2007). Film ühes iselaadi pärdikuga oli talle hinge pugenud ja hoolimata sellest, et mina tolle filmiga väga hästi kursis polnud, lubasin ahvi ette võtta.
Pärdik ise ei tundunud kuigi keeruline olevat, kuid sobiva lõnga leidmine küll. Õnneks osutus see mure asjatuks, nimelt on Steinbach Wollel olemas just sobiv träpsuline lõng sarjast Supersport.

Monkey compared with the original toy.

 Ronib. Veel ilma mütsita.
Climbing. Yet without the hat.

I was asked to make a monkey from the movie named "Mister Magorium`s Wonder Emporium" (2007), and even though I wasn`t familiar with the film, I promised to give it a try. I was a bit worried of finding the suitable yarn, because it`s a very important element on building his character. Happily I found Steinbach Wolle Supersport, which was just perfect for this project.
The greatest challenge was to get the right proportions of his body and limbs and create the simple face using the buttons and some felt. I really enjoyed crocheting him and also sensed to put down the pattern. I hope to find some time in the near future to translate the pattern and share it with all of you.

Frilly-pants Bunny and Long-ear Rabbit - new patterns under construction

Lately I´ve been working on two new patterns - Frilly-pants Bunny and Long-ear Rabbit.
I had some beautiful cotton fabric with lovely flower printing which inspired me to make them in marine colors.

I made a little alteration to the ears, because I didn`t really like the way they were sagging. I love this new fun and prick look!

Also I added the edging to the Rabbits striped sleeves and a frilly border to the Bunnies dress.

I hadn`t made any photos outside for a long time. So I really enjoyed taking pictures and having fun with them :)

Aren`t they cute together!!!

The patterns will soon be ready!
